Glass Fishing Floats

have to be some of the most charming sea decorations out there.  They bring a real authentic ocean breeze into a room where they are displayed in. They work probably best when grouped in a cluster of different colors, or showcased on a fishing net on a wall.

I personally love the round ones in different colors (red, blue, green) that are enclosed in a rope net. You can simply hang them on the wall, or around a patio – it looks brilliant!

As you can see here at Glass Float Junkie , glass fishing floats can come in several different sizes and also shapes, – not just round! If you get a nice glass bowl, fill it with sand and some seashells (either collected yourself or bought), and place one or more floats on the top, you will have a very unique display of sea decor items.

When looking for under the sea decorations , there is literally no way past beautiful corals. Corals and coral reefs are so colorful and have such amazing attractive structures and forms – anybody who has ever been diving or snorkeling will know exactly what I am talking about!

Here are just a few ideas on how you can decorate your house with coral:

Little accents can go a long way. These small trays in three different varieties would be great in any coastal hideaway, or if you are looking for a coastal accent for a guest room, a desk, or for an entryway table. They will surely add a splash of color and style.

If you want to add a touch of something mythical to your sea decorations , you can’t go past some beautiful mermaid decor. Mermaids are legendary supernatural sea people, human from the head to the waist but with a fish tail instead of legs.

So many tales have been spun around mermaids. The main one that has a big impact until today might be Hans Christian Andersen’s sad story “The Little Mermaid”. In is the story of a mermaid who falls in love with a prince in a passing ship; the mermaid takes on human form in order to gain a human soul and be close to the prince, but although constantly near him, she cannot speak. When the prince marries a human princess, the mermaid’s heart is broken.

If you are looking for under the sea decorations , there is a vast array of options of what to display in your home, ranging from all kinds of sea animals to corals and underwater plants.

I found this awesome stingray wall sculpture which I absolutely adore. If you go and have a look around the many shops selling sea decorations, most of them have seahorses and fish sculptures on display, but I have hardly ever seen a stingray!

This stingray has been recreated by a North Carolina ceramic artist in meticulous and realistic detail. It is made out of stoneware clay and includes a crackled white glaze and an arched tail. To create these stingrays, the artist does not use molds, but sculpts each and every single one of them by hand. This means that there can be smallest differences in shape, direction of the tail or color tone, which I find makes them even more unique. No two are the same!

The stingray measures approx. 12″ wide and 17″ long and weighs ca. 2.25 lbs. It will have wires on the back and will be ready to glide up on your wall. You can also display it on a flat surface, if you wish, but I think the biggest impact can be made by displaying it prominently on a wall.

What is also great is that it will be shipped within 1 business day! :)

These mirrored dots look fantastic on any wall, and can transform every room they are displayed in. You can get them in a few different colors, but I am sure you agree that for sea decorations you should stay with either the silver mirror dots or the dots in different shades of blue, green and silver. I think the blue, green and silver would look especially nice in a childrens room (and if you have a little girl, you might want to consider the pink bubbles, even though they are not really the color of water… ;) )

These dots are decals, so all you have to do is simply peel away the back and stick ‘em on! Each pack comes in different sizes, and the blue and pink one’s come in different shades, too. They are – of course – removable, and also don’t set you back a fortune.
